Safety Shut-off/ Safety Relief Valve

Safety Shut-off/ Safety Relief Valve

This product is used for the protection of all valves connected downstream of a gas governor against too high a pressure. The gas supply is shut off in the case of unfavourable operating conditions. A safety shut-off valve is prescribed in accordance with EN 746–2 for all gas governing installations on which the valves downstream of the gas governor are not resistant to the upstream pressure. EC type-tested and certified design in accordance with the Gas Appliance Directive (90/396/EEC) in conjunction with DIN 3381.

The safety relief valve has been designed to reduce temporary pressure surges in the controlled system, especially upstream of burners, in order to avoid accidental operation of the safety shut-off valve JSAV. to avoid a sudden pressure increase in the case of gas leakages due to the gas governors not closing tightly. Specified for all gas pressure regulating plant with inlet pressures > 100 mbar, in conjunction with a JSAV acc. to the codes of pratice G 491. Suitable for air, technical combustion gas acc. to the DVGW G 260/I, biogas and gas produced at rubbish tips.
